a quick jaunt to the windy city

as if packing up our entire existence in greensboro weren't enough of a task, we decided to take a quick road trip to chicago last weekend to celebrate our friend dave's wedding. it was a beautiful ceremony and we truly enjoyed every moment we got to spend with friends we haven't seen in many many years.
it was also our last road trip with our beloved honda civic (coy's first "real" car and the only one either of us have ever made car payments on :) the white stallion served us well and took the 12+ hour trip like a true warrior. although we experienced some difficulties with the indiana roads, our little detour in lafayette was well worth it. (we are thankful for AAA and walmart tires' road warranty.) it's amazing the things one can witness while waiting for a tow truck on a beautiful morning.
