movin' on up

it's hard to believe, but we've managed to scale down our entire existence to the few items you see below. (in addition to a few boxes being generously stored in pittsburgh by mom and mark.)

what do you think? can we fit everything into this trunk? our evening may turn into a real life game of tetris.
thankfully, we'll have plenty of time and not much else to do. there is nothing left to sit on aside from the floor and the toilet. the television is gone, the books are packed, and the cupboard is looking sparse. we've got two pair of rubber gloves, a bucket, and a scrub brush.
we are overjoyed to be spending the summer with family and friends in pennsylvania, but saying goodbye is always difficult. our greensboro family has been good to us. but i suppose this is all part of embarking on a new adventure.
as we look around our now empty house, the reality of what we are about to do is growing ever more apparent. soon we will be down to just a few bags and a whole lot of willingness. it's a wonderful lesson in living simple and embracing the journey.
