coy spoke with our peace corps placement officer today regarding our status. she's been really amazing and understanding with us, and does her best to explain every step of this crazy process. well, right now they are still searching for a program in a country that will be able to accommodate our medical needs. they did find two programs, but by the time they learned of our medical acceptance, those programs had been filled. they are still looking in latin america, and it seems like our departure date will be more like early to mid summer. she found several more programs for us in latin america, and is going to send them off for medical approval today. so we're back to waiting. but it's comforting to know that it's not all in vain, and they really are going to send us somewhere.
if the programs in latin america don't accept us, she will try for programs in other geographical regions departing also in early to mid summer. so we still might be out of here before the carolina heat wave sets in!
