in the beginning...

this blog has been created as a way to keep in touch with family and friends over the next two years as coy and i begin our great adventure as peace corps volunteers. we are currently in the waiting period that sometimes seems to span from a year and 2 months ago until eternity. in reality, it's been about a year and 2 months since we began our applications with peace corps. we are now patiently waiting to hear where we will be living and when we will leave. it started as an almost certain destination of latin america, but things have changed, as they often do. more to come any time from now...
